We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Welding/Machining Supervisor (Metal Fabrication) to join our dynamic team. You will be part of a fast-paced manufacturing environment that is dedicated to delivering excellent results. This role is integral to our operations, ensuring that our high-quality standards are met consistently. The successful candidate will have a strong background in Welding/Machining and will be responsible for supervising a team of skilled professionals. They will also be expected to work closely with other departments to ensure smooth and efficient production processes.
Responsibilities:
1. Manual MIG Welding.
2. Program Robots
3. Set up the weld jobs with fixtures provided
4. Ability to “Cut and Etch” a weld and determine penetration
5. Monitor and control inventory of raw materials and welding/machining supplies.
6. Conduct regular inspections of machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
7. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to welding/machining processes.
8. Maintain accurate records of all welding/machining operations.
9. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
10. Participate in budget development and cost tracking for the welding/machining department.
Qualifications:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience within a manufacturing environment, specifically in Welding/Machining.
2. Proven experience in Machine Programming and working as a Manufacturing Engineer.
3. Advanced knowledge of welding/machining principles, techniques, and safety standards.
4. Excellent leadership and team management skills.
5. Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
6. Ability to train and mentor team members.
7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
8. Strong understanding of quality control principles and procedures.
9. Proficient in using various types of welding/machining equipment and tools.
10. Knowledge of relevant regulations and standards.
11. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
12. High degree of mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
13. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
