Job Details
Responsibilities:
1. Conducting regular inspections and maintenance of pipelines and other oil and gas equipment to detect and diagnose leaks.
2. Utilizing advanced leak detection technologies and methodologies to ensure the safety and efficiency of our operations.
3. Interpreting flow diagrams and utilizing data analysis tools to identify potential issues and recommend solutions.
4. Ensuring compliance with relevant industry codes and standards, including API, ASME, API17, DOT, and PHMSA.
5. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop and implement leak detection strategies and protocols.
6. Documenting and reporting on inspection findings, making recommendations for improvements, and following up on implemented actions.
7. Keeping abreast of industry advancements in leak detection technology and practices, and applying this knowledge to our operations.
8. Participating in safety meetings and training, and promoting a culture of safety and environmental responsibility.
Qualifications:
1. A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role within the Energy or Chemical industry.
2. Proven experience in leak detection, with a particular focus on gas detection.
3. Knowledge of industry codes and standards, including API, ASME, API17, DOT, and PHMSA.
4. Proficiency in interpreting flow diagrams and using data analysis tools.
5. Exceptional problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
6. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
7. A strong commitment to safety and environmental stewardship.
8. A degree in Engineering, or a related field, is preferred.
