We are seeking a Legal and Compliance Manager. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of legal hospitality and compliance matters, and will be responsible for ensuring our company adheres to legal standards and in-house policies. You will be tasked with enforcing regulations in all aspects and levels of business as well as providing guidance on compliance matters.

Responsibilities:

As a Legal and Compliance Manager, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Review, draft, and maintain all business contracts, including sales, procurement, service agreements, and HR contracts.
  • Ensure contracts are legally sound, compliant with company policies, and mitigate potential risks.
  • Maintain an organized and up-to-date contract repository.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies.
  • Provide timely legal advice on contractual and regulatory matters.
  • Handle legal disputes and claims.
  • Manage trademark registration, renewal processes, and maintain relevant trademark record.
  • Manage insurance, license and permits related matters of the business.
  • Coordinate with external legal counsel and regulatory bodies when necessary.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate for the Legal and Compliance Manager position should possess the following qualifications:

1. A Bachelor’s degree in law, finance, business management, or a related field.
2. A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role, specifically with legal hospitality across restaurants/food/beverage.
3. In-depth knowledge of the industry’s standards and regulations.
4. Excellent knowledge of reporting procedures and record-keeping.
5. A business acumen partnered with a dedication to legality.
6. Contract experience
7. An analytical mind able to “see” the complexities of procedures and regulations.
8. Excellent communication skills.
