We are looking for a dynamic, detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Legal Assistant/Junior Paralegal. This role offers an exciting opportunity to be an integral part of our legal team, providing support to our attorneys and ensuring the smooth running of our legal operations. This position offers an excellent opportunity to refine your skills, broaden your professional experience, and work on a variety of legal matters.

Responsibilities:

The Legal Assistant/Junior Paralegal will be responsible for a variety of tasks including but not limited to:

1. Assisting attorneys with all aspects of case preparation and management from inception to resolution.
2. Conducting legal research and drafting legal documents, correspondence, and pleadings.
3. Managing and organizing case files, client documents and other legal materials.
4. Coordinating and scheduling court dates, meetings, and other appointments for attorneys.
5. Communicating with clients, witnesses, court personnel, and other legal professionals in a professional and courteous manner.
6. Ensuring all legal documents are properly filed with the courts and other appropriate entities.
7. Assisting with the preparation of trial materials, exhibits, and witness lists.
8. Maintaining and updating client databases and case management systems.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate for the Permanent Legal Assistant/Junior Paralegal position will have the following qualifications:

1. Some experience in a professional, office environment role.
2. Proficiency in legal administration and legal terminology.
3. Exceptional research and writing skills.
4. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
5. Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with clients, attorneys, and court personnel.
6. Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite and legal research software.
7. Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
8. A degree in law, paralegal studies, or a related field is preferred.
9. Paralegal certification is a plus.
