We are working with a well-established, successful plaintiff litigation firm that specializes in trials, arbitrations, and appeals for complex commercial cases and catastrophic injury cases! They are seeking a junior Legal Assistant or junior Paralegal to join the team!

Location: Houston (Montrose/Midtown area) - ONSITE
Salary range: $50k-$55k/year

Job Details

We are looking for a highly organized Legal Secretary or Junior Paralegal with the ability to juggle multiple tasks and priorities. Must be willing to learn and adapt to the way the firm operates!

Job Duties/Qualifications:
  • Strong sense of urgency while maintaining attention to detail
  • Good working knowledge of Adobe and Microsoft365 - Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Proficient in e-filing
  • Assist with day-to-day tasks, like calendaring, managing RSVPs, updating production and pleading logs, maintain good knowledge of cases
  • Coverage for phones
  • Assist paralegals with needs such drafting simple but professional correspondence to clients, courts, and opposing counsel
  • Knowledge of preparing binders for trial and hearings and basic knowledge what is involved for preparation
  • Knowledge of calendaring Scheduling Orders and Docket Control Orders
  • Knowledge of printing labels, scanning, and saving documents to a digital file
