Job Details

We are a prestigious law firm seeking a highly skilled and proactive Legal Assistant to join our team. This is a permanent role where your expertise in legal procedures, coupled with your exceptional organizational and communication skills, will be highly valued. You will provide essential support to our managing partners and attorneys, ensuring that our firm operates smoothly and efficiently. You will be responsible for managing various projects, maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information, preparing reports, and handling legal research and documentation.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive administrative support to 3 to 7 attorneys, managing complex schedules, coordinating meetings, and communicating effectively with clients.
  • Conduct legal research and prepare legal documents, ensuring they comply with laws and regulations.
  • Review contracts and legal documents for accuracy and compliance.
  • Assist in the preparation of expense reports and manage the budget for various projects.
  • Handle multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritizing workload to meet tight deadlines.
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information, demonstrating high levels of discretion and integrity.
  • Utilize advanced proficiency in MS Office and 3e software to manage and organize documents, prepare presentations, and perform other essential tasks.
  • Provide support in areas of immigration law, bankruptcy litigation, and patent assistance.
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Law, Legal Studies, or related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience as a Legal Assistant,
  • At least 1 year of experience in immigration law.
  • Proven experience in bankruptcy litigation and as a patent assistant.
  • Exceptional project management and time management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive information.
  • Proficient in the preparation of reports and legal documents.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office Suite and 3e software.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and multitasking skills.
  • Strong writing, editing, proofreading, and detail-oriented skills.
  • Proven ability to review contracts and ensure legal compliance.
  • Experience in managing budgets and preparing expense reports.
  • Strong understanding of legal administration and document management.
