Job Details
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Legal Assistant/Paralegal to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting attorneys in the areas of corporate law, litigation, and/or real estate. This role involves managing case files, editing and preparing legal documents, conducting research, and ensuring deadlines are met across multiple practice areas.
Responsibilities:
– Draft, proofread, and file legal documents
– Organize and manage case files and related documentation across multiple practice areas
– Conduct legal and factual research using legal databases and public records
– Assist with preparing cases for hearings, mediations, closings, and trials
– Coordinate and communicate with clients, courts, opposing counsel, and third-party vendors
– Support corporate transactions, including entity formation, annual filings, and corporate governance documentation
– Assist with real estate transactions including due diligence, title searches, and document preparation
– Monitor deadlines, court dates, and filing schedules
Qualifications:
– Minimum of 3 years of experience as a paralegal or legal assistant in corporate law, litigation, and/or real estate
– Strong knowledge of legal terminology, legal procedures, and court systems
– Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, legal case management software, document management software, and e-filing systems
– Highly organized with excellent time management and communication skills
– Ability to professionally and discreetly manage confidential information
– Detail-oriented and capable of working both independently and collaboratively
