Job Description:

We are currently seeking a dynamic, detail oriented, and experienced Legal Assistant to join our legal team. This is a permanent position, ideal for someone with a strong background in managing litigation deadlines, who thrives in a challenging, stimulating, and rewarding environment. Our Legal Assistant will be an integral part of our team, providing high level support to our attorneys, and ensuring the smooth running of our legal processes.

Responsibilities:

As a Legal Assistant, you will be responsible for:

1. Managing and organizing all aspects of documents, files, and legal correspondence.
2. Calendaring and tracking all litigation deadlines to ensure all documents are prepared and submitted on time.
3. Drafting, proofreading, and editing a variety of legal documents, including pleadings, discovery, and court filings.
4. Conducting legal research and gathering relevant information to support case preparation.
5. Coordinating and scheduling meetings, court dates, and appointments, ensuring all parties are informed and available.
6. Liaising with clients, court personnel, and other law firms professionally and effectively.
7. Assisting in the preparation for trials, hearings, depositions, and client meetings.
8. Maintaining strict confidentiality and discretion at all times.
9. Performing other administrative tasks as required, such as data entry, filing, and answering phone calls.

Qualifications:

The successful candidate will have:

1. Experience as a Legal Assistant, preferably within a busy law firm environment.
2. Strong employment tenure.
3. Proficiency in calendaring litigation deadlines and managing complex schedules.
4. Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
5. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
6. Proficiency in MS Office Suite and legal case management software.
7. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
8. Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team and build strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
9. A commitment to maintaining high professional and ethical standards.
