Are you a detail-oriented, organized, and experienced professional with a knack for legal administrative tasks? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our dynamic team as a Legal Administrative Assistant. This role offers a unique opportunity to be part of a high-performing team, providing critical support in a fast-paced and challenging environment. You will be instrumental in ensuring smooth operations within the legal department, applying your knowledge and expertise in legal procedures, terminology, and documents. This role requires 5+ years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the legal industry.

Responsibilities:

As a Legal Administrative Assistant, your daily tasks will include but are not limited to:

1. Managing and executing administrative and clerical tasks such as organizing files, drafting and proofreading correspondence, and managing schedules.
2. Assisting with the preparation of legal documents, including contracts, briefs, wills, and depositions.
3. Conducting legal research and summarizing findings in a clear and concise manner.
4. Coordinating and scheduling meetings, depositions, and court dates, ensuring all parties are informed and all necessary materials are prepared.
5. Handling invoicing and billing procedures, including tracking billable hours, preparing invoices, and following up on payments.
6. Maintaining confidentiality and exercising discretion when handling sensitive information.
7. Liaising with clients, court officials, and other legal professionals in a professional and courteous manner.
8. Assisting with case management, including tracking deadlines, maintaining case files, and following up on outstanding matters.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate for the Legal Administrative Assistant role should possess the following qualifications:

1. Minimum of 1 year of experience in a legal administrative role.
2. Proficiency in legal terminology and procedures.
3. Strong experience in invoicing and billing, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
4. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
5. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
6. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
7. Ability to conduct legal research and summarize findings.
8. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with a diverse range of individuals.
9. High level of discretion and the ability to handle sensitive information confidentially.
10. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
