We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Permanent Liability Associate Attorney to join our legal team. This position offers a unique opportunity to be actively involved in all aspects of litigation, from inception through trial. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a high volume of cases and will be expected to draft and argue motions, take and defend depositions, and try cases. The role demands a highly skilled, confident, self-motivated individual with a passion for the legal industry and a commitment to delivering high-quality legal services.
Responsibilities:
1. Represent clients in court or before government agencies, presenting evidence to defend or prosecute lawsuits.
2. Conduct legal research and gather evidence for lawsuits, such as interviewing witnesses, visiting crime scenes, or examining public records.
3. Draft, review, and revise legal documents, including briefs, pleadings, appeals, contracts, and legal memoranda.
4. Direct and coordinate law office activity, including delivery of subpoenas.
5. Negotiate settlements of civil disputes in the best interest of the client.
6. Interact with clients on a regular basis, keeping them informed about case progress.
7. Collaborate with senior attorneys to form a trial strategy and develop persuasive arguments.
8. Assist in the development of firm policies, procedures, and practices in the liability area.
Qualifications:
1. Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.
2. Admitted to practice in the state.
3. Minimum 1+ years of experience as a Liability Associate Attorney.
4. Proven experience in trial cases is required.
5. Excellent analytical, writing, and communication skills.
6. Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team and independently.
7. Superior organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet strict deadlines.
8. Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills.
9. Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive information.
10. Proficient in legal research software and Microsoft Office Suite.
