Job Details

Responsibilities

1. Manage all aspects of litigation, including drafting pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and responses.
2. Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support case strategy.
3. Provide legal counsel and advice to clients on matters related to labor and employment law.
4. Represent clients in court proceedings, mediations, and arbitrations.
5. Draft and negotiate settlement agreements.
6. Collaborate with team members to develop effective litigation strategies.
7. Keep clients informed of case progress and legal developments.
8. Adhere to all professional and ethical rules and standards.
9. Continuously update knowledge on changes and developments in California Employment Law and California Labor Laws.

Qualifications

1. Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
2. Admission to the California State Bar.
3. Minimum of 2 years of experience in litigation, with 2-8 years of labor and employment litigation experience preferred.
4. Proven experience drafting briefs, conducting legal research, and managing all aspects of the litigation process.
5. Extensive knowledge of California Employment Law and California Labor Laws.
6. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex legal concepts to clients and team members.
7. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and creatively.
8. Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines simultaneously.
9. High level of professionalism, with the ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards.
10. Strong negotiation skills, with the ability to achieve favorable outcomes for clients.
11. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a commitment to collaboration and continuous learning.
