We are seeking a dynamic and highly motivated Permanent Litigation Associate to join our legal team. This is a hybrid role that offers a unique opportunity to work on a wide range of litigation matters, including civil and commercial litigation, arbitration, dispute resolution, and trial practice. You will be responsible for conducting extensive legal research, drafting and arguing motions, and preparing pleadings. This is a full-time position with a competitive salary and benefits package. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 4 years of litigation experience and a strong desire to advance their career in a challenging and rewarding environment.
Responsibilities:
1. Handle all aspects of civil and commercial litigation matters, including drafting and arguing motions, preparing pleadings, and conducting legal research.
2. Represent clients in arbitration proceedings and other forms of dispute resolution.
3. Develop and implement litigation strategies in collaboration with senior attorneys and clients.
4. Prepare for and participate in trials, including presenting evidence, examining witnesses, and making closing arguments.
5. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and legal trends.
6. Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
7. Participate in business development activities, including networking events and client meetings.
Qualifications:
1. Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
2. A minimum of 4 years of experience in litigation, including civil and commercial litigation, arbitration, and dispute resolution.
3. Admission to practice law in the state.
4. Exceptional legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
5. Proficiency in drafting and arguing motions, preparing pleadings, and conducting legal research.
6. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle complex legal issues.
7. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
8. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment, while also demonstrating initiative and the ability to work independently.
9. Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
10. Commitment to maintaining the highest level of professional ethics and integrity.
