Are you a passionate and dedicated litigator with a knack for detail and a drive for success? We are currently seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented, and experienced Permanent Litigation Associate to join our dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on complex litigation matters, providing top-tier legal services to our diverse clientele. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on a variety of cases, from commercial litigation to personal injury, and will be a vital part of our legal team, working closely with partners and clients to achieve successful outcomes.
Responsibilities:
In this role, you will be expected to:
1. Draft, review, and revise pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents with precision and attention to detail.
2. Conduct and manage all phases of discovery including drafting discovery requests and responses, document review and production, and taking and defending depositions.
3. Manage all aspects of trial preparation including the preparation of trial exhibits, witness preparation, and trial strategy development.
4. Participate in court proceedings, including hearings, trials, and settlement conferences.
5. Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, and team members.
6. Conduct legal research and analysis to develop legal strategies and solutions.
7. Maintain and update case files, and manage deadlines to ensure timely progression of cases.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, you will need:
1. A Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school.
2. Admission to the state bar.
3. A minimum of 2 years of litigation experience.
4. Proven experience in drafting pleadings, motions, and briefs.
5. Extensive experience in conducting and managing discovery.
6. Demonstrated experience in trial preparation and court proceedings.
7. Proficiency in legal research and writing.
8. Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
9. Advanced communication skills, both written and oral.
10. The ability to manage multiple tasks and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
11. Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
