Position Overview:
We are looking for an experienced litigation Associate to join our firm. This role is focused high-stakes litigation matters, providing legal advice and representation in a variety of areas, including commercial litigation, labor and employment, and professional liability.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and lead complex commercial and corporate litigation matters, including securities-related disputes, regulatory investigations, professional liability, employment, and general litigation.
Represent clients in high-profile disputes across state and federal courts, as well as before arbitration panels, regulatory bodies, and in settlement negotiations.
Provide strategic counsel and litigation advice to clients across a variety of industries, with the ability to pivot into the financial services sector for clients in that industry.
Lead case development, strategy formulation, and team management, ensuring high-quality representation for clients.
Handle and resolve matters efficiently, ensuring that the firm's interests are always at the forefront while managing client expectations.
Contribute to the firm’s growth by developing and managing business development opportunities.
Mentor and guide junior attorneys and staff, supporting their professional development and success in handling complex litigation matters. Build strong relationships with clients, other legal professionals, and industry groups.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 5+ years of litigation experience
JD from an accredited law school and membership in good standing with the CA State Bar.
Strong background in managing complex litigation, including experience in state and federal courts, arbitration, and regulatory matters.
Proven ability to strategize, lead cases, and resolve complex disputes effectively.
Experience in professional liability or financial services litigation is a plus, but not a requirement.
Ability to adapt and expand litigation experience into the financial services space, as needed.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to present complex legal arguments to diverse audiences.
Leadership capabilities, with experience managing teams and mentoring junior attorneys.
