Job Details
This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned litigator to transition into trust and estate law. The ideal candidate will bring strong case management experience, having handled civil litigation matters from inception through resolution. You will work closely with partners and clients on complex matters involving fiduciary duties, will and trust contests, and probate litigation.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage all aspects of litigation cases, including initial investigation, discovery, motion practice, hearings, and trial preparation.
Work closely with partners to develop litigation strategies tailored to trust and estate disputes.
Attend and argue motions, mediations, depositions, and court hearings.
Draft pleadings, briefs, legal memoranda, and correspondence.
Communicate effectively with clients, co-counsel, and opposing counsel.
Stay current on Florida probate and estate law developments (training provided as needed).
Maintain accurate and timely case records using the firm’s case management system.
Qualifications:
J.D. from an accredited law school and licensed to practice in Florida.
3+ years of litigation experience, with full case lifecycle management.
Strong legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
Stable work history.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Interest in learning and growing within the trust and estate litigation field.
Prior experience in probate or estate matters is a plus but not required.
