Job Details
We are seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney with 3+ years of civil litigation or insurance defense experience to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in courtroom advocacy and trial work, with experience in at least one of the following areas: medical malpractice defense, catastrophic personal injury, employment law, general liability, or commercial litigation.
Key Responsibilities
Represent clients in a wide range of civil litigation matters, including medical defense, personal injury, and general liability
Handle all phases of litigation from inception through trial, including pleadings, discovery, depositions, motion practice, and court appearances
Communicate regularly with clients, experts, and opposing counsel
Prepare for and participate in mediations, arbitrations, and trials
Work both independently and collaboratively with litigation teams to develop strategy and deliver results
Qualifications
J.D. from an accredited law school
Active license and in good standing with the Washington State Bar
Minimum 3 years of litigation experience, ideally in civil defense
Strong understanding of Washington civil procedure, evidence, and trial strategy
Excellent writing, research, and oral advocacy skills
Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines with minimal oversight
Comfortable in a hybrid work environment, utilizing tools like MS Teams and Outlook
