POSITION OVERVIEW:
Our client seeks an experienced litigation attorney to join their growing practice. The ideal candidate will bring sophisticated experience from either an AmLaw 100 firm or government service (DOJ, US Attorney's Office, State AG's Office, or similar). This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled litigator looking to leverage their experience in a collaborative, sophisticated firm environment with opportunity for growth.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • J.D. from an accredited law school
  • 5+ years of litigation experience at a major law firm or government agency
  • Active New Jersey and/or New York bar admission
  • Strong academic credentials
  • Excellent research, writing, and advocacy skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex cases
  • Experience with class action, complex civil litigation, securities, antitrust, or consumer protection matters preferred

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Handle all phases of litigation from initial pleadings through discovery, motions practice, trial, and appeal
  • Develop case strategy and execution plans
  • Draft and argue substantive motions
  • Lead discovery efforts including document review, depositions, and written discovery
  • Prepare witnesses for testimony
  • Participate in settlement negotiations and mediations
  • Contribute to business development initiatives
