This is a full-time on-site role with our Personal Injury / Medical Malpractice team. A Litigation Attorney will be responsible for a range of day-to-day tasks.

Our law firm is seeking a dynamic and experienced Litigation Attorney who is barred in both DC and MD. The ideal candidate will bring a wealth of personal injury experience to our team. Responsibilities:

As a Litigation Attorney, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

1. Representing clients in court or before government agencies.
2. Presenting and summarizing cases to judges and juries.
3. Preparing and drafting legal documents, such as wills, deeds, patent applications, mortgages, leases, and contracts.
4. Gathering evidence to formulate defense or to initiate legal actions, by such means as interviewing clients and witnesses to ascertain the facts of a case.
5. Examining legal data to determine advisability of defending or prosecuting lawsuit.
6. Negotiating settlements of civil disputes.
7. Performing administrative and management functions related to the practice of law.
8. Confering with colleagues with specialties in appropriate areas of legal issue to establish and verify bases for legal proceedings.
9. Advocating for clients in high stakes personal injury litigation.

Qualifications:

To be considered for the Permanent Litigation Attorney position, you must possess the following:

1. Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
2. Barred in both DC and MD.
3. A minimum of 5 years of experience as a practicing attorney, specifically within personal injury litigation.
4. Proven track record of success, including significant verdicts or settlements.
5. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
6. Ability to manage multiple projects and cases simultaneously.
7. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
8. Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
9. Exceptional negotiation skills.
10. High degree of professional ethics and integrity.
