We are seeking a dynamic, highly skilled, and passionate Permanent Litigation Attorney to join our team. This role will primarily focus on Debt Collection & Construction, providing legal counsel and representation to our diverse clientele. The successful candidate will have a strong background in debt collection, construction, landlord litigation, landlord and tenant litigation, mechanic's liens, and construction litigation. This position demands a deep understanding of legal research and mediation, and a commitment to providing outstanding service to our clients.
Responsibilities:
As a Permanent Litigation Attorney, your primary duties will include:
1. Representing clients in court or before government agencies.
2. Presenting evidence to defend clients or prosecute defendants in civil litigation.
3. Interpreting laws, rulings, and regulations for clients.
4. Analyzing the probable outcomes of cases, using knowledge of legal precedents.
5. Evaluating findings and developing strategies and arguments in preparation for presentation of cases.
6. Gathering evidence to formulate defense or to initiate legal actions, by such means as interviewing clients and witnesses to ascertain the facts of a case.
7. Conducting legal research and analysis of law sources such as statutes, recorded judicial decisions, legal articles, treaties, constitutions, and legal codes to prepare legal documents, such as briefs, pleadings, appeals, wills, contracts, etc.
8. Mediating disputes and guiding clients through the legal process.
9. Managing all phases of the litigation process from investigation, pleadings, and discovery to pre-trial, trial, settlement, and appeal.
10. Handling debt collection cases, landlord and tenant litigation, mechanic's liens, and construction litigation.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Permanent Litigation Attorney position must possess the following qualifications and skills:
1. A Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.
2. Admission to the state bar.
3. A minimum of 5 years of experience in debt collection, construction, landlord litigation, landlord tenant, landlord and tenant litigation, mechanic's liens, and construction litigation.
4. Proven experience in legal research and mediation.
5. Excellent written and oral communication skills.
6. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
7. Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and cases.
8. Excellent negotiation skills.
9. High ethical standards and professional integrity.
10. Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
