We are seeking a seasoned Permanent Litigation Attorney with a focus on Insurance Defense to join our dynamic legal team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the insurance industry, coupled with a breadth of experience in litigation. This role requires a high level of proficiency in court hearings, arbitration, mediations, depositions, discovery, contractual agreements, motion, and trial. As a Permanent Litigation Attorney, you will be instrumental in defending our insurance clients against a variety of claims. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in managing complex cases, conducting legal research, and providing expert legal advice.

Job Details
Responsibilities:
1. Represent clients in court or before government agencies, presenting evidence to defend clients or argue against plaintiffs.
2. Prepare and draft legal documents such as pleadings, discovery requests and responses, motions, briefs, and contractual agreements.
3. Conduct and defend depositions, mediations, and arbitrations.
4. Manage all phases of the litigation process from investigation, pleadings, and discovery to pre-trial, trial, settlement, and appeal.
5. Develop strategies and negotiate settlements in complex insurance defense cases.
6. Provide expert legal advice to clients on insurance matters, ensuring they are fully informed of their rights, obligations, and options.
7. Maintain updated knowledge of regulatory changes and trends in the insurance industry that could impact clients.
8. Foster positive relationships with clients and strive to provide exceptional client service.
9. Collaborate with the legal team to ensure a cohesive approach to case management.
Qualifications:
1. Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience as a litigation attorney, preferably in insurance defense.
3. Admitted to practice law in the state and in good standing with the state bar.
4. Proven experience in court hearings, arbitration, mediations, depositions, discovery, contractual agreements, motion, and trial.
5. Strong negotiation, research, and communication skills.
6. Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and cases.
7. Exceptional analytical skills, with a keen ability to think strategically and anticipate legal issues or risks.
8. High degree of professional ethics and integrity.
9. Proficient in legal research software and Microsoft Office Suite.
10. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
