Job Details
We are currently seeking an experienced Litigation Attorney specializing in Personal Injury to join our dynamic legal team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for handling a high volume of personal injury cases from inception through trial. The successful candidate will have a passion for providing superior legal services, be able to manage a heavy caseload and have a deep understanding of personal injury law. This role requires a proactive individual with a high level of dedication, strong analytical skills, and exceptional negotiation abilities.
Responsibilities:
1. Represent clients in court or before government agencies, presenting evidence to defend clients or argue for plaintiffs in civil litigation.
2. Conduct research, interviews with clients and witnesses, and handle other details in preparation for trial.
3. Prepare and draft legal documents such as wills, affidavits, briefs, contracts, leases, and appeals.
4. Mediate disputes and guide clients through the legal process, ensuring they understand their rights and options.
5. Negotiate settlements to avoid court trials and reduce litigation costs where possible.
6. Develop strategies and arguments in preparation for presentation of cases.
7. Provide expert legal advice and recommendations to clients on their legal rights and obligations.
8. Interpret laws, rulings, and regulations for individuals and businesses.
9. Evaluate findings and develop strategies and arguments in preparation for presentation of cases.
10. Manage, mentor, and lead junior lawyers and legal assistants, providing guidance on complex litigation cases.
Qualifications:
1. Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school.
2. Must be a licensed attorney in good standing with at least 5 years of experience in personal injury litigation.
3. Proven track record of representing clients in all stages of the litigation process.
4. Extensive experience in defense, mediation, hearings, personal injury, and courtroom proceedings.
5. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, court personnel, opposing counsel, and team members.
6. Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to resolve disputes favorably.
7. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and make sound legal judgments.
8. High level of professionalism and ethical standards.
9. Ability to manage a large caseload and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
10. Proficiency in legal research software and Microsoft Office Suite.
