Responsibilities:
As a Permanent Litigation Attorney, you will be responsible for the following:
1. Represent clients in court or before government agencies, presenting evidence to defend or prosecute in civil litigation.
2. Prepare and draft legal documents, such as wills, deeds, patent applications, mortgages, leases, and contracts.
3. Provide legal advice to clients on issues related to estate litigation, trust litigation, and will contests.
4. Negotiate settlements in civil disputes.
5. Conduct research and analysis of legal problems to interpret laws, rulings, and regulations for individuals and businesses.
6. Gather evidence to formulate a defense or to initiate legal actions, by such means as interviewing clients and witnesses to ascertain the facts of a case.
7. Evaluate findings and develop strategies and arguments in preparation for the presentation of cases.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Permanent Litigation Attorney position should have the following qualifications:
1. Must hold a valid MA Bar license.
2. Must have a minimum of 4 years of experience as a litigation attorney, specifically with estate litigation, trust litigation, and will contests.
3. Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local laws.
4. Excellent negotiation skills, with the ability to resolve complex legal issues.
5. Superior written and oral communication skills.
6. Strong research and analytical skills.
7. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple cases and projects.
8. Proven ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
9. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
10. High level of professionalism and ethical standards.
