As a litigation attorney, you will be expected to manage an active caseload of cases in litigation (with the help of a support team), effectively work up cases, and negotiate settlements. Job Details
Responsibilities:
As a Litigation Attorney, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
1. Represent plaintiffs in court
2. Argue motions, meet with judges, and manage an active caseload of civil and personal injury cases
3. Evaluate findings and develop strategies and arguments in preparation for the presentation of cases.
4. Gather evidence to formulate and initiate legal actions, by such means as interviewing clients and witnesses to ascertain the facts of a case.
5. Negotiate settlements
6. Supervise legal assistants and junior attorneys, and delegate tasks as necessary.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Permanent Associate Attorney position should have the following qualifications:
1. Juris Doctorate (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
2. Admission to the State Bar.
3. 5+ years of experience as a practicing attorney.
4. Personal injury experience (plaintiff)
5. Trial experience
6. Spanish a plus
