We are seeking a dynamic, highly-skilled Permanent Litigation Attorney to join our fast-paced legal team. The successful candidate will manage all aspects of litigation, including taking cases from initial discovery through trial and appeal. This role requires an individual who thrives in a challenging environment, is passionate about achieving successful outcomes for clients, and has a deep understanding of civil procedure rules and laws.
Responsibilities:
As a Permanent Litigation Attorney, your primary responsibilities will include:
1. Representing clients in all stages of litigation, from initiation to resolution, including pre-trial, trial, settlement, and appeal.
2. Drafting, reviewing, and revising various legal documents such as pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery requests, responses, and other court-related documents.
3. Conducting thorough legal research and analysis to advise clients on their legal rights and obligations.
4. Engaging in negotiation and mediation to resolve disputes outside of court.
5. Collaborating with legal team members to develop effective case strategies.
6. Providing legal advice to clients, ensuring they are fully informed of their rights, possibilities, and potential risks.
7. Keeping abreast of current legislation, court decisions, and legal issues that may affect clients.
8. Maintaining high ethical standards and professionalism in all client interactions.
Qualifications:
To be considered for the Permanent Litigation Attorney role, you must meet the following qualifications:
1. Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
2. Admission to the State Bar and in good standing.
3. A minimum of 5 years of litigation experience, preferably in a law firm or corporate legal department.
4. Proven track record of managing all stages of litigation, including trials, arbitrations, mediations, and appeals.
5. Excellent legal research, analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
6. Proficiency in legal research software and Microsoft Office Suite.
7. Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously, with strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
8. Strong understanding of civil procedure rules and laws.
9. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating a high level of initiative and self-motivation.
10. Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to maintain confidentiality and build trusted relationships with clients.
