The successful candidate will provide legal expertise in a wide range of litigation matters including consumer class actions, environmental cases, investigations and enforcement matters, and product marketing /advertising. Job Details
Responsibilities:
1. Representing the organization in all aspects of litigation, including complex commercial disputes, class actions, and regulatory investigations.
2. Providing expert legal advice on advertising law, ensuring that the organization's marketing and advertising activities are compliant with all applicable laws and regulations.
3. Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a variety of legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, contracts, and settlement agreements.
4. Conducting thorough and efficient legal research to support litigation strategies.
5. Working closely with other members of the legal team to develop and implement effective litigation strategies.
6. Participating in mediations, arbitrations, and trials, as necessary.
7. Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of changes in advertising law and other relevant areas of law.
8. Providing training and guidance to other members of the organization on advertising law and other relevant legal issues.
The successful candidate must possess the following qualifications:
1. Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
2. A minimum of 3 years of experience as a defense litigation attorney.
3. Admission to the state bar.
4. Proven track record of success in litigation.
5. Exceptional legal research and writing skills.
6. Strong negotiation and advocacy skills.
7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization.
8. High degree of professional ethics and integrity.
9. Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines.
10. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically.
11. Proficiency in the use of legal research tools and software.
