We are seeking an experienced and passionate Litigation Attorney to join our dynamic legal team. This role will be a key player in our litigation process, working closely with our team to handle complex litigation matters with a focus on insurance defense litigation. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hearings and trials, with a proven track record of delivering successful outcomes. This role requires a high level of legal acumen, strong analytical skills, and the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously. Responsibilities:
1. Manage all aspects of litigation, including drafting pleadings, motions, and discovery requests, as well as taking and defending depositions.
2. Represent clients in court, presenting evidence to defend clients or argue against the opposition in civil litigation matters.
3. Analyze and interpret laws, rulings, and regulations with probable case outcomes for individuals and businesses.
4. Conduct thorough legal research and analysis of complex legal issues related to insurance defense litigation.
5. Develop and implement litigation strategies, negotiate settlements, and prepare for trials.
6. Collaborate with a team of attorneys and legal professionals to achieve the best possible outcomes for our clients.
7. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of legal developments and trends in the field of insurance defense litigation.
8. Provide legal advice and guidance to clients on a variety of legal matters related to litigation.
Qualifications:
1. Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
2. Must be a licensed attorney in good standing with the state bar.
3. A minimum of 5+ years of experience as a litigation attorney, with a strong emphasis on insurance defense litigation.
4. Proven experience in managing caseload independently.
5. Exceptional knowledge of federal, state, and local laws, court procedures, precedents, government regulations, executive orders, and agency rules.
6. Outstanding negotiation, research, and interpersonal communication skills.
7. Ability to manage and prioritize multiple cases and assignments effectively.
8. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and make sound legal judgments.
9. Proficiency in legal research software and Microsoft Office Suite.
10. Commitment to adhering to the highest ethical and professional standards.
