We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Permanent Litigation Attorney to join our dynamic legal team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of litigation, including drafting pleadings, discovery, motion practice, trial preparation, and negotiation of settlements. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in dispute resolution, personal injury, and legal writing. This position requires a commitment to excellence, a passion for the law, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage all phases of litigation from inception to resolution, including drafting pleadings, discovery, motion practice, and trial preparation.
  • Represent clients in court or before government agencies, presenting evidence to defend or prosecute lawsuits.
  • Advise clients concerning business transactions, claim liability, advisability of prosecuting or defending lawsuits, or legal rights and obligations.
  • Interpret laws, rulings, and regulations for individuals and businesses.
  • Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients, aiming for the most beneficial outcome.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis of law sources such as statutes, legal articles, and legal codes to prepare legal documents.
  • Work collaboratively with other members of the legal team to ensure a cohesive approach to client representation.
  • Maintain the highest level of professional conduct and ethics in all interactions with clients and colleagues.

Qualifications:
  • Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.
  • Licensed in North Carolina (NC) and South Carolina (SC)
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience as a litigation attorney.
  • Proven experience in dispute resolution, personal injury, and legal writing.
  • Exceptional analytical skills, with a strong ability to review and organize numerous legal documents.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing, with clients, opposing counsel, judicial officers, and team members.
  • Outstanding negotiation skills and the ability to resolve conflicts.
  • Proficient in using legal research software.
  • Must be a member in good standing with the state bar.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • A high degree of professionalism and a strong work ethic.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think on your feet.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with clients and colleagues.
