Litigation Partner

Our firm is seeking a Litigation Partner to join our dynamic team in the practice areas of Trusts and Estates, Real Estate, Tax and/or Bankruptcy. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of litigation, including drafting pleadings, discovery, preparing for and attending court appearances, hearings, and depositions. Responsibilities:

1. Manage all phases of litigation from initiation to disposition, including trial preparation, client interaction, discovery, depositions, and court appearances in areas of Trusts and Estates, Real Estate, Tax and/or Bankruptcy.
2. Draft, review and revise legal documents such as pleadings, discovery requests and responses, motions, briefs, and settlement agreements.
3. Conduct extensive legal research and analysis to support case preparation and strategy development.
4. Represent clients in court or before government agencies, presenting evidence to defend or prosecute lawsuits.
5. Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients to avoid court proceedings or to resolve them favorably.
6. Advise clients about their legal rights and responsibilities, and suggest actions in business and personal matters.
7. Participate in arbitration and mediation proceedings to resolve disputes.
8. Collaborate with a team of attorneys, paralegals, and legal assistants to ensure the best representation for our clients.

Qualifications:

1. Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.
2. Must be a member in good standing with the state bar.
3. A minimum of 5 years of experience as a litigation attorney.
4. Proven experience in arbitration and mediation.
5. Exceptional legal writing and research skills.
6. Strong negotiation skills with the ability to resolve complex disputes.
7. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to maintain confidentiality and build strong client relationships.
8. Ability to handle a high volume of cases and work under pressure.
9. Proficiency in using legal software and technology for case management.
10. Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
11. Demonstrated commitment to maintaining high ethical standards and to upholding the integrity of the profession.
