We are seeking a Litigation Attorney with a proven track record in civil litigation, personal injury litigation, and ideally a bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English. As an integral part of our legal team, you will represent clients in court, mediations, and arbitrations, and manage all phases of litigation from investigation and pleadings through trial, settlement, and appeal. This role requires a minimum of 1 year of litigation experience with a strong emphasis on personal injury cases. Responsibilities:
1. Represent clients in all stages of litigation, including court hearings, arbitrations, and mediations.
2. Conduct thorough case investigations to identify legal issues and develop defense strategies.
3. Draft and review legal briefs, motions, pleadings, and discovery responses.
4. Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients in personal injury cases.
5. Provide legal counsel and advice to clients regarding their legal rights and obligations.
6. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of laws, legal codes, court procedures, precedents, and government regulations.
7. Collaborate with legal staff and communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court officials.
8. Advocate for clients' best interests and strive to obtain the best resolution according to legal procedures and practices.
Qualifications:
1. Juris Doctorate (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
2. A minimum of 1 year of experience in civil litigation, with a focus on personal injury litigation.
3. Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English is strongly preferred.
4. Active membership in good standing with the TX State Bar.
5. Proven track record of successfully negotiating and settling personal injury cases.
6. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, legal staff, and court officials.
7. Strong analytical skills and the ability to think strategically.
8. Proficient in legal research and writing.
9. Ability to manage multiple cases and projects at once, while maintaining attention to detail.
10. Demonstrated commitment to professional ethics and client confidentiality.
