Job Details

Responsibilities:
  • Manage all phases of litigation from inception to resolution, including trial preparation, discovery, depositions, negotiations, and settlements.
  • Represent clients in court or before government agencies, presenting evidence to defend or prosecute lawsuits.
  • Interpret laws, rulings, and regulations for individuals and businesses and advise clients concerning business transactions, claim liability, advisability of prosecuting or defending lawsuits, or legal rights and obligations.
  • Conduct research, interview clients and witnesses, and handle other details in preparation for trial.
  • Prepare and draft legal documents, such as wills, deeds, patent applications, mortgages, leases, and contracts.
  • Develop strategies and arguments in preparation for presentation of cases.
  • Handle premises liability, personal injury, civil litigation, and lien and collections litigation.

Qualifications:
  • Juris Doctorate (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Must be a member in good standing with the state bar.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in litigation, with a focus on civil litigation, insurance defense, personal injury, premises liability, and lien and collections litigation.
  • Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills, including the ability to communicate effectively in court and with clients, both verbally and in writing.
  • Proven track record of managing multiple cases and projects, with the ability to work well under pressure.
  • Experience in trial preparation, discovery, depositions, negotiations, and settlements.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and make sound legal arguments.
  • Proficient in legal research and writing.
  • High degree of professional ethics and integrity.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with legal research software and Microsoft Office applications.
