Responsibilities:
1. Manage all phases of litigation including discovery, depositions, motions, trial preparation, trial, and appeals.
2. Conduct thorough and detailed investigations to determine potential legal claims and identify parties.
3. Draft, review, and revise pleadings, motions, briefs, opinions, and other legal documents.
4. Represent clients in court, before government agencies, or in private legal matters.
5. Communicate with clients, colleagues, judges, and others involved in the case to provide updates and strategy direction.
6. Develop and implement litigation strategies tailored to each client's specific needs and circumstances.
7. Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients in an effort to resolve disputes favorably and efficiently.
8. Maintain current knowledge of industry trends, developments, and changes in laws and regulations.
9. Provide legal advice and guidance to clients on various legal matters related to litigation.
10. Participate in business development activities to attract and retain clients.

Qualifications:
1. Juris Doctorate (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience as a litigation attorney, preferably as a defense attorney.
3. Admission to the state bar and good standing.
4. Proven track record of successfully managing all phases of complex litigation, including trial and appeals.
5. Exceptional legal research, analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
6. Ability to handle high-stress situations and multiple cases simultaneously.
7. Strong understanding of legal procedures, terminology, and documentation.
8. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with clients, colleagues, and other parties involved in a case.
9. Proficiency in legal research tools and software.
10. Strong commitment to professional ethics and client confidentiality.
