Job Details

Responsibilities:

  • Manage a comprehensive caseload of general liability cases, including the preparation and execution of all aspects of litigation from inception to trial.
  • Represent clients in court or before government agencies, presenting evidence to defend clients or argue against the opposition.
  • Conduct legal research and gather evidence, ensuring a thorough understanding of each case.
  • Draft and prepare legal documents such as pleadings, briefs, motions, appeals, contracts, and depositions.
  • Negotiate settlements to resolve disputes in favor of the client.
  • Develop strategies and arguments in preparation for presentation of cases.
  • Provide legal advice to clients, explaining the legal process, and advising on the best course of action.
  • Maintain client relationships, keeping them informed and involved in their cases.
  • Engage in continuous professional development to stay updated with changes and advancements in the law.

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in general liability defense litigation.
  • Must be a member in good standing with the California State Bar.
  • Excellent analytical skills, with a strong ability to think strategically and analyze information timely and accurately.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to interact with clients, attorneys, and staff.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to handle a large caseload and juggle multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency with legal research software.
  • High degree of professional ethics and integrity.
  • Results-oriented and client-focused.
