The Legal Assistant will play a crucial role in the day-to-day operations of our legal team, assisting with case preparation, document management, research, and client communication. This position is ideal for someone with a strong interest in insurance law, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist attorneys in the preparation of legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and correspondence.
  • Manage case files and document databases, ensuring all materials are accurately filed and easily accessible.
  • Conduct legal research under attorney supervision to gather case-relevant information and resources.
  • Schedule and coordinate depositions, hearings, meetings, and other case-related appointments.
  • Communicate with clients, witnesses, court personnel, and other parties involved in cases.
  • Prepare and send out legal packages to clients and opposing counsel.
  • Assist in trial preparation tasks such as organizing exhibits, documents, and evidence.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all client information and case details.

Qualifications:
  • Associate’s degree or higher in Legal Studies, Paralegal Studies, or a related field. (Bachelor's degree preferred)
  • Previous experience as a Legal Assistant or Paralegal, ideally within an insurance defense or related legal setting.
  • Proficiency in legal research tools and databases.
  • Strong computer skills, including MS Office Suite and legal management software.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively in a deadline-driven environment.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
