Are you passionate about the law, insurance defense, and legal support? Do you have a knack for managing litigation deadlines and a keen eye for detail? If so, we're looking for you! Our firm is seeking a Permanent Litigation Legal Assistant with a focus on Insurance Defense. This role is instrumental in supporting our legal team in the preparation and execution of successful litigation strategies. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of legal procedures, terminology, and court system rules, specifically within the insurance defense industry.

Responsibilities:

As a Permanent Litigation Legal Assistant, you will be tasked with a variety of responsibilities that are crucial to the successful operation of our firm. These include:

1. Assisting attorneys in preparing for trials, hearings, and depositions.
2. Drafting legal documents such as pleadings, briefs, motions, and subpoenas.
3. Conducting legal research and factual investigation.
4. Managing and organizing large volumes of complex case-related documents.
5. Coordinating and managing attorney calendars, including tracking and calendaring litigation deadlines.
6. Liaising between attorneys, clients, experts, and opposing counsel.
7. Reviewing and summarizing medical and other related records.
8. Filing documents with the courts and maintaining document databases and systems.
9. Assisting with jury voir dire and the preparation of jury instructions and verdict forms.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate for this position will possess a unique combination of skills, experience, and knowledge, including:

1. A minimum of 5+ years of experience as a litigation legal assistant, preferably in the field of insurance defense.
2. Proficiency in calendaring litigation deadlines and managing attorney schedules.
3. Superior knowledge of legal procedures, terminology, and court system rules.
4. Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and accuracy.
5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
6. Strong research and report-generating skills.
7. Proficiency in using legal software and Microsoft Office Suite.
8. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
9. Ability to handle and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
