We are currently seeking an experienced Litigation Legal Assistant to join our dynamic team. This is a unique opportunity to work with top-tier litigators on complex, high-stakes legal matters. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years of experience in a similar role, a deep understanding of legal procedures and terminology, and a proven track record of managing multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

As a Permanent Litigation Legal Assistant, you will be responsible for a wide range of tasks, including but not limited to:

1. Assisting attorneys with all aspects of litigation, including drafting pleadings, discovery, and trial preparation.
2. Managing case files, maintaining calendars, and tracking deadlines.
3. Conducting legal research and preparing legal documents under the supervision of an attorney.
4. Coordinating and scheduling court dates, meetings, and conferences.
5. Assisting with client billing, including tracking billable hours, preparing invoices, and following up on payments.
6. Serving as a liaison between attorneys, clients, experts, and opposing counsel.
7. Ensuring compliance with court rules and procedures.
8. Providing general administrative support, such as answering phones, filing, and data entry.

Qualifications:

To be considered for the Permanent Litigation Legal Assistant position, you must possess the following:

1. A minimum of five years of experience as a legal assistant, paralegal, or related role in litigation.
2. Proficiency in legal research tools and software, such as Westlaw or LexisNexis.
3. Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
4. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
5. Knowledge of court procedures and rules.
6. Experience with client billing and financial management.
7. High degree of professionalism and discretion, with the ability to maintain confidentiality.
8. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
9. A paralegal certificate or equivalent legal education is preferred but not required.
