We are currently seeking a seasoned Litigation Legal Assistant to join our dynamic team. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who thrives in a fast-paced, high-energy environment and possesses a strong passion for the legal industry. You will be an integral part of our team, supporting attorneys in a litigation environment. This position requires a high level of client interaction and coordination with attorneys, courts, and other parties involved in litigation.

Responsibilities:

Your role as a Litigation Legal Assistant will be diverse and multi-faceted. Key responsibilities include:

1. Managing and coordinating complex litigation calendars and schedules, ensuring all deadlines are met.
2. Conducting thorough legal research and preparing legal documents for attorney review.
3. Utilizing case management systems to maintain and update all case-related information.
4. Ensuring all billing is accurate and compliant with LEDES and Aderant standards.
5. Providing litigation support, including preparing for depositions, hearings, and trials.
6. Drafting and proofreading correspondence and legal documents to ensure accuracy and completeness.
7. Managing conflicts of interest and maintaining confidentiality at all times.
8. Filing court documents electronically and tracking all filings.
9. Utilizing Microsoft Office Suite to create and manage documents, spreadsheets, and presentations.
10. Developing and maintaining efficient systems for data management, including client files, attorney notes, and case documents.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate for the Litigation Legal Assistant role should have the following qualifications:

1. A minimum of 2 years of experience as a legal assistant, preferably in a litigation setting.
2. Proficiency in using legal software such as LEDES, Aderant, and case management systems.
3. Exceptional time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
4. Strong legal research skills and proficiency in preparing legal documents.
5. Superior attention to detail and proofreading skills.
6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience in drafting correspondence.
7. Proficiency in electronic filing and familiarity with court filing systems.
8. Extensive experience with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
9. A strong sense of professionalism and discretion, with the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately.
