Job Details
Our client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Legal Assistant to provide secretarial and administrative support for multiple attorneys in multiple practice groups. Primary practice groups would include white collar litigation, health care fraud, and commercial litigation while secondary practice groups include product liability, insurance defense, and employment law.

- Transcribing, composing, formatting, editing, proofreading, and finalizing all forms of documents, correspondence, pleadings, and reports.
- Opening of new files, file set up and organization, preparing conflicts checks, and updating glance sheets and litigation profiles as needed.
- Preparing and filing of pleadings such as Appearances, Answers, and all pretrial and dispositive Motions in state and federal courts.
- Coordinating, maintaining, and calendaring upcoming trial dates, arbitrations, jury trials, depositions, inspections, and all corresponding status notes.
- Managing incoming mail, entering daily time entries, submitting vendor invoices for payment.
- Maintain attorney calendars, travel arrangements, and expense reporting.
- Reviewing and editing prebills per client guidelines.
The ideal candidate must have the following skills for consideration:
- At least 5 years’ experience assisting attorneys in complex litigation areas such as white collar litigation, health care fraud, commercial litigation, product liability, insurance defense, and employment law.
- Experience with both State and Federal courts, including knowledge of CM/ECF filings in PA and NJ.
- Strong attention to detail in all work.
- Ability to manage multiple files and to prioritize workloads to effectively meet all deadlines.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with all levels of management, staff and clients.
- Forward thinking, organized, and a team player.
- Ability to independently solve problems and exercise sound judgment with minimal direction.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products – Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Experience with iManage & Prolaw a plus.
