Job Details
We are seeking a litigation paralegal to support our attorneys in managing civil litigation matters from initial filing through resolution. In this role, we handle a steady caseload and rely on our paralegals to take ownership of day-to-day case coordination, documentation, and discovery efforts. This position offers meaningful involvement in all phases of litigation, including trial preparation.
Responsibilities
Prepare and maintain detailed chronologies and summaries of complex records
Communicate with clients, attorneys, court personnel, and experts throughout the lifecycle of a case
Draft and manage legal documents including pleadings, discovery, correspondence, and memoranda
Coordinate record collection, including authorizations and stipulations
Organize, review, and synthesize high volumes of documents for case use
Track and manage deadlines to ensure timely case progression
Conduct research related to medical issues, experts, and prior case outcomes
Oversee and support the discovery process from initiation through completion
Provide regular updates to attorneys and case teams regarding status and next steps
Assist with deposition preparation and trial readiness efforts
Maintain accurate time entries in a billable environment
Support additional litigation-related tasks as needed
Qualifications
Prior experience supporting full-cycle civil litigation matters
Exposure to complex case types involving detailed records analysis preferred
Familiarity with litigation procedures, discovery practices, and document management
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
Experience collaborating with attorneys and legal teams in an active caseload setting
Requirements
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a litigation paralegal role
Demonstrated understanding of court rules and procedural requirements
Experience supporting discovery, including document review and production
Trial preparation experience is a plus
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, including Word and PowerPoint
Familiarity with handling sensitive records and compliance considerations preferred
Experience tracking billable time
