We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented litigation paralegal to join a national law firm's Los Angeles office. Our client is established firm with a reputation as one of the leading securities litigation practices in the country, and a track record of recovering billions of dollars for institutional and individual investors domestically and internationally.
The incoming paralegal will support a collaborative team of 5 attorneys and report directly to the Managing Director of Paralegals. This role combines substantive litigation and legal work with office administration responsibilities. You will prepare for upcoming and ongoing cases and contribute significantly to the firm's mission of achieving successful outcomes for their clients.

Litigation responsibilities include:
- Conduct comprehensive legal and factual research utilizing Westlaw, LexisNexis, PACER, BloombergLaw, and other research platforms
- Proofread and cite-check briefs, complaints, motions, and other legal documents with meticulous attention to detail
- Perform fact-checking and Bluebooking to ensure accuracy and compliance with court requirements
- Prepare, finalize, and file legal documents in state and federal courts
- Assist with retrieval and analysis of relevant rules and regulations
- Organize and maintain case files and reference materials in both physical and electronic formats
- Coordinate and prepare for depositions, hearings, trials, and client meetings, including scheduling with multiple parties, outside counsel, and vendors
- Prepare exhibits and trial materials as needed
Office administration responsibilities include:
- Serve as primary liaison with building management, security personnel, and vendors
- Facilitate building access for visitors and coordinate maintenance and repairs
- Manage front desk operations including answering phones, greeting clients and visitors, screening calls, and handling mail and packages
- Maintain clean, organized, and well-stocked office spaces including conference rooms and storage areas
- Support new hire onboarding processes in collaboration with HR leadership
- Plan and execute office celebrations, team events, and special projects
- Order office and kitchen supplies while managing inventory levels

Job Details
Interested candidates must have 3+ years of litigation experience in a law firm setting and live within a commutable distance to the firm's Los Angeles office. Additional qualifications:

- Bachelor's Degree from and accredited institution
- Experience e-filing or assisting in e-filing in federal district courts
- Proficiency in cite-checking and Bluebooking
- Strong research skills using various tools including WestLaw, LexisNexis, PACER, and other resources
- Detail oriented skillset with strong proofreading and grammar skills
- Occasional flexibility with shifting work hours as business needs require
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, organizational, and planning skills.
