Job Details

As a Litigation Paralegal, you will:

1. Conduct comprehensive document review and analysis to assist attorneys in preparing for trials, hearings, depositions, and client meetings.
2. Perform thorough legal research to support case development and legal strategies.
3. Manage all aspects of the legal discovery process, including preparing and responding to discovery requests, organizing and maintaining discovery materials, and coordinating with clients and opposing counsel.
4. Handle electronic filing of pleadings, motions, and other court documents in federal and state courts.
5. Oversee case management tasks such as tracking deadlines, maintaining case files, and coordinating with internal and external parties.
6. Assist with trial preparation, including compiling trial exhibits, preparing witness binders, and coordinating logistics.
7. Draft legal documents, correspondence, and reports under the supervision of attorneys.
8. Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive information.

Qualifications:

To be considered for this role, you should possess the following qualifications:

1. A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Litigation Paralegal in a law firm or corporate legal department.
2. Proficiency in document review, legal research, legal discovery, electronic filing, and case management.
3. A bachelor's degree in Paralegal Studies, Legal Studies, or a related field. A paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program is preferred.
4. Strong knowledge of federal and state court rules and procedures.
5. Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
6. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex legal concepts to attorneys, clients, and other parties.
7. Proficiency in legal research databases and legal case management software.
8. High level of professionalism, with a commitment to providing exceptional client service.
9. Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
10. Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
