We are seeking a highly skilled Litigation Paralegal to join our dynamic legal team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in personal injury litigation and hearing/trial preparation. This is an exciting opportunity to work closely with our team of seasoned attorneys on varied and complex legal cases, providing key support throughout the litigation process. The role offers an opportunity to take on significant responsibility and directly contribute to our firm's success.

Responsibilities:

As a Litigation Paralegal, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

1. Assisting attorneys with all aspects of trial and hearing preparation, including coordinating witness schedules, preparing trial exhibits, and drafting pretrial documents.
2. Conducting legal research and preparing legal documents such as pleadings, briefs, and discovery responses.
3. Managing case files and maintaining case calendars to ensure all deadlines are met.
4. Communicating with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, and expert witnesses.
5. Reviewing and summarizing medical records and deposition transcripts.
6. Assisting with settlement negotiations and mediations.
7. Providing administrative support as needed, including filing, scanning, and copying legal documents.

Qualifications:

To be considered for the Litigation Paralegal role, you should possess the following qualifications:

1. A minimum of 5 years of experience as a litigation paralegal, preferably in personal injury litigation.
2. A paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program or equivalent.
3. Proficiency in using legal research platforms such as Westlaw or LexisNexis.
4. Strong knowledge of the rules of civil procedure and evidence.
5. Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
7. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal case management software.
8. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
9. A commitment to maintaining client confidentiality and upholding the highest standards of professional ethics.
