We are seeking a seasoned Litigation Paralegal to join our dynamic legal team. In this exciting role, you will have the opportunity to work closely with our team of experienced attorneys, providing comprehensive litigation support on a variety of complex cases. This position is ideal for a dedicated professional with a deep understanding of legal principles, excellent research skills, and a knack for detail-oriented tasks.
Responsibilities:
As a Permanent Litigation Paralegal, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
1. Drafting petitions and complaints, along with other legal documents as necessary.
2. Conducting legal research and fact-checking to assist attorneys in case preparation.
3. Organizing and maintaining documents in a paper or electronic filing system.
4. Assisting attorneys in preparing for trials, hearings, and depositions.
5. Gathering and arranging evidence and other legal documents for attorney review and case preparation.
6. Coordinating law office activities such as subpoena delivery.
7. Keeping track of important case deadlines and informing attorneys accordingly.
8. Assisting attorneys in the preparation of legal arguments, applications, declarations and motions.
Qualifications:
To be considered for the role of Permanent Litigation Paralegal, candidates must meet the following qualifications:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience as a litigation paralegal.
2. A Bachelor’s degree in Paralegal Studies or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
3. Proficiency in drafting petitions and complaints.
4. Exceptional research and report-writing skills.
5. Familiarity with legal databases and eDiscovery platforms.
6. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
7. Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
8. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
9. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
