Our highly esteemed law firm is seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to join our team. This position is an excellent opportunity for a qualified individual to work with our dynamic team of attorneys on high-profile cases. As a Litigation Paralegal, you will be involved in complex and challenging mass tort litigation and insurance defense litigation. You will be an integral part of our team, providing essential support to our attorneys in a high-stakes, fast-paced environment. This is a full-time role requiring a strong commitment to excellence, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work under pressure.
Responsibilities:
As a Litigation Paralegal, your responsibilities will include:
1. Assisting attorneys in all stages of litigation cases from onset through post trial.
2. Obtaining, reviewing, analyzing, and summarizing records and other case materials.
3. Drafting pleadings, motions and appellate documents and filing them with the court.
4. Assisting attorneys with discovery management, experience with Relativity is a plus.
6. Gathering pertinent information from a variety of sources.
7. Liaising between teams and internal/external third parties. Working with local counsel in other states.
8. Providing assistance with case settlements.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate must have the following qualifications:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Litigation Paralegal, preferably in mass tort litigation or insurance defense litigation.
2. Paralegal certification or degree from an accredited program.
3. Proficiency in discovery software and MS Office.
4. Excellent written and oral communication skills.
5. Strong organizational skills and ability to juggle multiple tasks.
6. Detail-oriented and able to work under pressure.
7. Knowledge of the legal field, court procedures, and legal protocols.
8. Ability to maintain confidentiality and act with discretion and integrity.
