Job Details
Responsibilities:
1. Manage all aspects of the litigation process from the investigation, pleadings, and discovery to the pre-trial, trial, settlement, and appeal processes.
2. Prepare legal documents including briefs, pleadings, appeals, agreements, contracts, and legal memoranda.
3. Assist attorneys in preparing for trials, hearings, and depositions.
4. Conduct thorough document review and organize discovery materials effectively.
5. Utilize legal case management software to keep track of all cases, documents, and deadlines.
6. Ensure compliance with all legal standards and regulations.
7. Conduct legal research and factual investigation.
8. Draft and interpret legal documents.
9. Liaise with clients, witnesses, and external counsel as needed.
10. Provide administrative support to lawyers and enhance office effectiveness.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Law, Paralegal Studies, or a related field.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience as a litigation paralegal.
3. Strong experience with trial preparation, legal document preparation, and document review.
4. Proficiency in using legal case management software and other legal databases.
5. Familiarity with the legal principles and practices related to civil litigation and personal injury.
6. Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
7. Strong written and oral communication skills.
8. Ability to handle and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
9. Strong analytical skills and the ability to think critically.
10. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
11. High level of professionalism and ethical standards.
