Job Details

Responsibilities:

1. Conducting extensive legal research to support case preparation and legal proceedings.
2. Assisting attorneys in preparing for trials, hearings, and depositions.
3. Preparing legal documents such as pleadings, briefs, appeals, wills, contracts, and real estate closing statements.
4. Managing and organizing large volumes of complex case-related documents, including creating and maintaining databases for managing and tracking case files.
5. Investigating facts and laws of cases and searching public records and other resources to prepare cases and determine causes of action.
6. Directly assisting clients and maintaining excellent professional relationships.
7. Coordinating law office activities such as subpoena delivery.
8. Liaising between trial teams and internal/external third parties.
9. Providing administrative support to lawyers and enhancing office effectiveness.
10. Handling communication with clients, witnesses etc.
11. Administratively supporting and attending trials.

Qualifications:

1. A minimum of 5 years of experience as a litigation paralegal.
2. Proficient in legal research, legal document preparation, and litigation support.
3. Familiarity with law, legal procedures, and protocols, as well as court systems.
4. Working knowledge of case management software, as well as MS Office proficiency.
5. Excellent secretarial and organizational skills.
6. Ability to juggle multiple activities and work under pressure.
7. Strong written and oral communication skills.
8. Paralegal certification or degree in legal studies or related field is preferred.
9. Experience in maintaining and managing large volumes of documents and files.
10. A strong understanding of legal terminology and principles.
11. Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with attorneys, clients, and staff.
