Job Details
Litigation Paralegal, your responsibilities will include:
1. Assisting attorneys in the preparation and filing of pleadings and motions in all phases of litigation.
2. Managing property subrogation claims and maintaining relationships with insurance claims representatives.
3. Performing bates-stamping, redaction, duplication, and binding of documents.
4. Maintaining privilege logs and case files, ensuring all legal documents are correctly filed and updated.
5. Assisting in the discovery process, including drafting discovery requests and responses, summarizing deposition transcripts, and conducting legal research.
6. Coordinating and assisting in hearings, trials, and arbitration proceedings.
7. Drafting legal documents, such as affidavits, legal correspondence, and other formal documents.
8. Providing administrative support to lawyers and enhancing office effectiveness.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate for this position should possess the following qualifications:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Litigation Paralegal, preferably in property subrogation claims and commercial litigation.
2. Proficient in performing bates-stamping and maintaining privilege logs.
3. Extensive experience in the discovery process, including drafting discovery requests and responses.
4. Familiarity with legal research and legal terminology.
5. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to maintain relationships with insurance claims representatives.
6. Proficient in using legal software and Microsoft Office Suite.
7. Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet strict deadlines.
8. A paralegal certificate or a degree in law, legal studies, or a related field is preferred.
