Job Details

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and coordinate attorney calendars, meetings, depositions, and travel.
  • Prepare, revise, and finalize legal documents with a high degree of accuracy and timeliness.
  • Electronically file documents with federal and state courts, adhering to applicable rules and deadlines.
  • Schedule and liaise with external vendors such as court reporters, couriers, and expert witnesses.
  • Organize and maintain both physical and electronic case files and monitor important litigation deadlines.
  • Handle general administrative duties including time entry, billing, and expense reporting.
  • Submit conflict checks and new client matter forms.
  • Provide coverage and support for other team members as needed.
  • Maintain discretion and uphold client confidentiality while offering high-quality service.

Qualifications
  • Minimum of 5 years of litigation secretary or legal assistant experience in a law firm setting.
  • Solid understanding of state and federal court filing procedures, including e-filing systems.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with legal document management systems.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated reliability and punctuality with a track record of self-motivation and independent work.
  • Proven ability to support multiple attorneys, including partners.
  • High level of professionalism and a client-centered approach to work.
