Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated OB/GYN physician to join our team in Ohio. This is a full-time, in-house position with no call required. The ideal candidate will have experience in both low-risk and high-risk pregnancies, routine and complicated deliveries, and surgical gynecology procedures. You will be working in a supportive environment with a dedicated team of 6 RNs and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a community with an average of 1500 births per year.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide care for low-risk and high-risk pregnancies.
  • Perform routine and complicated deliveries, including C-sections, breech deliveries, and multiple births.
  • Interpretation of fetal heart rate (FHR) monitoring, including NST, CST, and FSE.
  • Conduct amniocentesis and manage deliveries with abruptions, VBACs, and other high-risk conditions.
  • Repair 3rd and 4th-degree perineal lacerations.
  • Perform gynecological surgeries and manage post-operative care.
  • Provide comprehensive care in the L&D unit and ED GYN unassigned.

Case Requirements:
  • 24 gynecology cases in the last 24 months.
  • 40 deliveries in the last 24 months.

Schedule Details:

  • Ongoing need with 15-20 shifts available per month.
  • Primary Need: Monday-Friday nights and full weekend coverage (12/24/36 hour shifts).
  • Secondary Need: Monday-Friday day shifts.

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Proficient in low-risk and high-risk pregnancy management.
  • Expertise in fetal heart rate interpretation (NST, CST, FSE).
  • Skilled in routine and complicated deliveries, including C-sections and breech deliveries.
  • Experience managing multiple births, VBACs, and abnormal pregnancies.
  • Competency in repairing 3rd and 4th-degree lacerations.
  • Surgical gynecology experience.

Certifications Required:
  • ABLS (Advanced Burn Life Support)
  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • Active Ohio Medical License or IMLC (Interstate Medical Licensure Compact)

Additional Information:
  • Support Staff: 6 Registered Nurses (RNs) available to assist in daily operations.
  • Coverage Areas: Labor & Delivery (L&D) Unit, ED GYN unassigned.

Credentialing Timeframe: 45 days.
