Job Description: Pathologist (Surgical Pathology & Cytology)
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM
Start Date: As soon as credentialed – Ongoing
Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Pathologist to join our team, specializing in Surgical Pathology with expertise in various subspecialties, including GI, GU, Dermatopathology, Cytology, Hematology, Microbiology, Chemistry/Serology, and Blood Bank. This is a full-time, ongoing position with a Monday-Friday schedule, starting once credentialing is complete. Reads per day: 12-16. Biopsies required.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality diagnostic interpretations for Surgical Pathology cases, including GI, GU, dermatopathology, and cytology.
- Interpret and perform Cytology studies, including GYN and Non-GYN specimens, with preference for experience in the performance of Fine Needle Aspiration (FNAs).
- Review and provide diagnostic expertise in Hematology, Microbiology, Chemistry/Serology, and Blood Bank.
- Deliver accurate and timely pathology reports, collaborating closely with clinical teams to provide essential diagnostic support.
- Maintain comprehensive and clear documentation for each case reviewed in the Epic EMR system.
- Stay current with the latest advancements in pathology techniques and provide leadership within the team.
Skills & Experience Required:
- Surgical Pathology expertise required, with additional experience in GI Pathology, GU Pathology, and Dermatopathology strongly preferred.
- Proficiency in Cytology with experience in GYN and Non-GYN specimens preferred.
- Experience in the performance of FNAs and other cytological procedures.
- Hematology and Microbiology knowledge preferred.
- Strong understanding of Chemistry/Serology and Blood Bank practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with clinical teams.
Licensing Requirements:
- Must be WI licensed or eligible through IMLC (Interstate Medical Licensure Compact).
