- Oversee and manage all logistics operations, including inventory control and supply chain management.
- Develop and implement effective logistics strategies to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
- Manage relationships with transportation providers and ensure optimal carrier performance.
- Utilize Oracle TMS and other logistics software to manage and streamline operations.
- Monitor and control freight budget, invoicing, and cost trends.
- Ensure compliance with regulations regarding Hazmat Shipments and hazardous materials.
- Manage shipping operations to Hawaii and Puerto Rico.
- Continuously evaluate and improve logistics operations to meet the changing needs of the company.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Permanent Logistics Manager role should possess the following qualifications:
- A bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in logistics operations and supply chain management.
- Proven experience in inventory control and cost reduction.
- Extensive knowledge of Oracle TMS and other TMS software.
- Strong experience in managing transportation providers and evaluating carrier performance.
- Solid understanding of freight budgeting, invoicing, and cost trends.
- Familiarity with regulations regarding Hazmat Shipments and hazardous materials.
- Experience with Hawaii and Puerto Rico shipping operations.
- Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and strategic planning skills.
- Strong leadership abilities and the capacity to manage a team effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
